Fair Trade and Sustainable Development Goals

Fair trade and the Sustainable Development Goals go hand in hand in the fight against poverty, inequality and sustainability.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) were created by the United Nations and aim to tackle economic, social, and environmental challenges on a global scale. They are a guide for countries, businesses and organizations, and people to help end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for everyone.

Fair trade creates a more equitable and sustainable global trading system, ensuring that everyone involved in the production process, from farmers to workers, receives a fair share and can lead dignified lives. It is a way of doing business more equitably and creates better working conditions, living wages, and focuses on sustainable practices.
